Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

Digital Content Creator (Full-Time Temp Position June - December 2023)

Reporting to the Digital Content Manager, the Digital Content Creator will be laser-focused on telling stories that matter most to digital and social users -- and doing it better than anyone else.

Requirements: This position requires exceptional written, verbal, digital media skills, and solid news judgment. Must have journalistic integrity and an understanding of print and broadcast newsroom standards and AP style. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of CMS (Content Management Systems) such as WordPress with a solid understanding of web standards, design, and usability. Excellent writing, editing, troubleshooting, copy editing, and web production skills required. Candidates must have experience writing digital stories, sending breaking push alerts, live streaming, and editing photos, graphics and videos. Must be comfortable and experienced using various tools to make informed editorial decisions. High standard of quality and attention to detail. Must be self-motivated, deadline driven, and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to take direction, think critically under pressure, and work professionally as part of a cohesive team, and individually, within specific time constraints. Optimistic attitude, good judgment, and excellent communication skills. A positive and influential newsroom citizen. Friendly, respectful and collaborative. This role in particular will involve one shift over the weekend. ​

Qualifications: Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred. Prior newsroom and digital media experience required. Three (3) years' experience developing, editing, and publishing news content on digital and social platforms. Experience in a medium to major broadcast market preferred. Proficient in content management systems, SEO, photo and video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytical tools. Excellent writer and storyteller with flawless copy-editing skills. Experience publishing content on digital and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $48.00-48.00 per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
