Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Will coordinate news coverage and assignments for field camera crews and reporters. Monitor police scanners, social media and other sources for breaking news and related developments on stories of interest. Interface with camera crews and reporters to respond to and cover news stories. Monitor wire services, newspapers, social media, and other sources to gather story ideas.

2-5 years of experience as an assignment editor at a local television station, cable channel, network news division or entertainment news production, or equivalent newsroom experience preferred. Geographic knowledge and understanding of the greater Los Angeles TV Market preferred.
