JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network is seeking a Freelance Producer/Editor for Special Projects – Creative Services. The role will conceptualize and execute high-end content for the network with a primary focus on all post-production for major network initiatives throughout the year. Some of the projects you will work on include editorial, researching music for presentations, and creating all edit templates for upcoming projects. You will work on creative for multiple internal editorial uses and work with marketing and sales on additional efforts. Additionally, you'll work closely with the Marketing Department on various production tasks that come up throughout the week. This position will report to the Creative Service Director and can be a remote opportunity.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Co-produce, edit and deliver content for all BTN special projects such as, but not limited to BTN/Big Ten initiatives, sizzle reels, case studies, and additional internal video requests
• Produce and edit creative optimized for network branding, exposure, and development
• Produce BTN video content used in out of home creative (in-arena assets)
• Be a visual storyteller by creating content that will be native to all network platforms (linear, social)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1+ years of experience producing content for linear use
• Strong knowledge of video production related techniques
• Established ability to create and produce compelling stories - generate and execute ideas, from concept to execution
• Proficiency with technology platforms and edit software packages, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Demonstrated production/editing experience with intercollegiate athletics programs or professional sports teams is strongly preferred
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player
• Demonstrated ability to meet strategic deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Possesses a deep knowledge of Big Ten Athletics
• Familiarity with Big Ten Network's programming, talent, and brand initiatives

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on media production preferred or equivalent
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere
