JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, and creative Senior Booker responsible for working with on-air talent and contributing editorial strategy. They will serve as the primary contact for the show's guests and be responsible for providing constructive feedback and support while facilitating effective communication between talent and production teams. They will work closely with producers, writers, publicists, and various departments within Fox to align talent and promotional strategies with the overall content and programming goals. They will also help identify and develop strategies for promoting on-air guests. This person must be able to help cultivate and maintain new guest relationships on behalf of the program and network.

Additionally, this role must have strong editorial judgment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where changes happen minute by minute. They will be responsible for researching stories, requesting statements, vetting information, and finding compelling segments while pairing them with the right on-air talent. They must be able to work in a breaking news situation and quickly line up the best on-air guests.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct pre-interviews and conduct research for various guests and segments
• Strategize with colleagues the best talent to book for the show
• Pitch news stories and potential guests
• Find unique and interesting ways to produce creative segments that are relatable to our viewers
• Work in a fast-paced environment and manage quick deadlines

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 10+ years of newsroom experience in television, including booking and producing experience
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
• An extensive rolodex of experts in various industries including lawmakers and celebrities
• Knowledge of and passion for current events, politics, and issues in foreign affairs
• Strong editorial judgement and news-gathering skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to be creative and forward thinking and how best to produce compelling television
• Ability to work with on-air talent and develop relationships on behalf of the show
• Excellent communication skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-118,450.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
