Job Description

Cavuto LIVE is looking for a hardworking Production Assistant with a passion for current events and fast-paced, breaking news environments. As a Production Assistant, you will find and cut the most compelling videos while creating informative, catchy graphics to visually tell the story. Your ability to accomplish tasks on a tight deadline will allow you to succeed in this role. You will be assigned the following shift (ET):

Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm

Friday 8:30am-7pm

Saturday 6:30am-1pm

• Create and edit compelling videos and graphics
• Pitch story ideas and produce segments
• Conduct independent research, analyze and interpret domestic, international and political affairs to develop and pitch story ideas to anchor and senior show staff
• Research, identify and help book potential guests for stories
• Work alongside team members to produce content for social media

• Ability to work well in a fast paced and intense atmosphere
• Familiarity with iNews, VIZ, and an understanding of building program rundowns
• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed
• A motivated, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

• A Bachelor's degree and broadcast news experience is preferred
• Past experience working in a breaking news environment
