JOB DESCRIPTION

''The Story with Martha MacCallum'' is seeking a skilled, experienced and hardworking Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has an acute awareness of current events. You are a superb writer & excellent under pressure. As a Producer on The Story, you will be responsible for executing the show lead, writing live scripts during breaking news and conducting in-depth research. The Producer will serve as a backup to the Line Producer and Senior Producer, on occasion.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch guests, stories and segment ideas
• Write guest intros, anchor questions and teases
• Select elements such as sound, video clips and graphics to tell a story
• Build thorough and constantly evolving research packets
• Monitor multiple sources for new developments in your segment
• Build compelling and concise lower thirds throughout the hour

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4+ years of professional experience in a live television control room
• Strong and accurate writing
• Line producing training
• Thorough knowledge of current events and politics
• Experience crafting a rundown
• Experience writing/producing/editing news packages
• Dalet training
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $82,000.00-109,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
