JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media's Special Report with Bret Baier is seeking a Producer with extensive experience writing and producing news for television to join their team. As the Producer, you have excellent editorial judgment, an understanding of fair and balanced journalism, and knowledge of national politics. You can write with urgency, style, brevity, salesmanship, and deliver substantial news in a highly-produced environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate ideas
• Write scripts, produce segments, live shots, packages, and graphics
• Field produce

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5 years of political reporting experience in a broadcast, print, or digital work environment
• Experience covering breaking news situations
• Digital tape and graphic experience
• Familiarity with iNews, VIZ, and an understanding of building program rundowns
• Knowledge of national politics
• Strong editorial judgment, communication skills, and writing skills
• The ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere while multitasking and prioritizing ahead on long-term projects
• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, and a willingness to travel when necessary
• Motivated, self-starter who can work independently, as well as in a team environment
