JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and innovative Line Producer to join The Big Saturday/Sunday Show. The Line Producer is a natural leader, a proven go-getter, and someone who can rise to the occasion under the stressful demands of television. The Line Producer has excellent editorial judgment, knows what makes a compelling segment, live shot, tease, and overall rundown, and has breaking news experience both in and out of the control room.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch and execute creative and innovative ideas for each part of the show on a regular basis
• Responsible for story placement, teases, graphics, writing, and all other editorial and production elements
• Time the show in the control room and communicate clearly and effectively with on-air hosts and the director
• Communicate needs effectively with the Executive Producer and Associate Producers
• Oversee and rewrite copy
• Be a key contributor to editorial planning
• Help mentor and train new staff members

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of newsroom experience, including 2 - 3 years of line producing and relevant control room experience
• Exceptional editorial skills; ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
• Strong knowledge of news, politics, and current events
• Decisive and skilled management of a control room
• Excellent writing skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, weekends, daytime, and primetime as the show demands
• Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $92,000.00-95,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
