JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX News Media is looking for an Information Specialist with a strong knowledge of current events as well as a keen interest in the details of politics, public affairs, and business news to join our team. You will work closely with key members of the organization throughout the election cycle to research, prepare, and provide well-sourced, detailed information that confirms facts, adds context, and informs our national audience.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Retrieve, analyze, and confirm news information, facts, statistics, and contacts
• Produce briefing books and news backgrounders for reporters and producers
• Assist with providing information for special projects and planned events like Congressional hearings, elections, and town halls
• Proactively provide compelling information for Fox Facts and story pitches
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1-2 years of experience in a research role or strong internships in a professional live news environment
• Strong political expertise
• Passion for research, current events, politics, and business
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments under tight deadlines
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including regular weekend hours, early mornings or evenings, and holidays
• Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, Accurint, and the internet
• Ability to identify primary sources
• Working in a team environment

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $67,000.00-76,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
