JOB DESCRIPTION
The Development and Operations team is responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fox Studio Lot including mission critical facilities consisting of data, broadcast, and editing centers, studios, offices, and related broadcast support facilities.
The Director, Plant Operations provides direct oversight of the plant management engineering and technical team managing the network center, a team of eleven (11), who are responsible for daily maintenance and operation of three buildings totaling 596,000 square feet, associated subterranean parking, satellite broadcast (uplink/downlink) facility, and one off-lot location.
A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities
• Oversight of physical plant operations to ensure functionality, dependability, and consistency
• Manage technical engineering aspects of MEP systems including significant repairs, upgrades, and future planning, with primary focus on:
• Functions directly supporting mission critical systems and redundancies
• General building systems providing cooling and heating and related equipment/infrastructure
• Building Management/Control Systems - both new and legacy
• Maintain, develop, and implement consistent plant management, engineering, and operational functionality
• Assess conditions to prioritize, plan, and implement repairs and improvements to equipment, infrastructure, and supervisory systems while maintaining day-to-day operation
• Oversee work schedule of union plant crew direct reports maintaining 24/7 coverage
• Coordinate effort and requirements with building occupants including third party tenants
• Interface with Fox Lot departments maintaining infrastructure outside of building lines
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, governmental, and company standards and policies
• Communicate conditions and requirements to immediate team, employees and consultants, clients and tenants, and upper management
• Assign responsibilities, track, and convey status for multiple concurrent tasks across in-house personnel, consultants, contractors, client/tenants, and management
• Maintain and continue to improve written policies, procedures, and technical standards
• Perform administrative duties including budgeting, payroll, purchasing, payment, documentation and record management
What You Will Need:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, and 15 year's progressive experience overseeing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems installation, operation, and maintenance
• demonstrated knowledge operating and maintaining critical engineering, and facilities, e.g., clean rooms, redundant systems, specialty fire suppression, etc.

• building control systems and energy management
• understanding construction documents and building records
• Experience with critical technical environments, e.g., hospitals, data centers, computer manufacturing, commercial broadcasting, etc.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and writing) and the ability to collaborate effectively among multiple stakeholders, executives, and tradespeople
• The ability to be on call 24/7

• Experience in a campus environment
• Professional Certification – Professional Engineer (PE), Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Certified Plant Manager (CPMM), or other related accreditations or memberships such as the Association for Facilities Engineers
Working conditions
The position is office based but will require accessing roof tops, utility equipment rooms, and other related infrastructure areas throughout the property.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $102,500.00-165,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
