JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a hardworking and creative Coordinating Producer for Tucker Carlson Originals. We're looking for someone with strong writing skills who possesses excellent editorial judgment, an interest in documentary filmmaking, and the ability to identify to book and connect with guests on interesting topics. In this role, you will work directly with the show's talent and top-level producers to pitch, book, write, and research short-form documentaries on a variety of topics.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write, produce, and oversee post-production for Tucker Carlson Originals documentaries
• Frequently travel for stories to conduct interviews (off-camera) of documentary guests
• Write scripts and oversee post-production of episodes
• Work with other producers to gather video and picture elements to supplement the storytelling
• Extensive research responsibilities; This is fundamentally a newsgathering role, and episodes should contain advance coverage with new information
• Pitch proposals to ensure maximum coverage with media organizations, external and internal, to promote our ''scoops'' and get publicity for the series
• Work hands-on with the talent to make sure they're able to fulfill their commitment to the documentary
• Also, occasionally work directly with the full Tucker Carlson Team on the #1 nightly cable news show, Tucker Carlson Tonight – and the #1 streaming talk show, Tucker Carlson Today

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Flexibility and preparedness to travel, often on short notice, across the country and internationally
• At least 5 years of news writing, documentary-making, or other relevant experience
• Knowledge and passion for current events and cultural stories shaping the national conversation
• Exceptional editorial skills; the ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
• Exceptional writing skills; the ability to tell stories in the talent's voice, to do so honestly and in a way that attracts viewers
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills as well as the ability to create an environment that fosters teamwork
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure as well as meet multiple daily deadlines
• Comfortable handling breaking news in the field
• Comfortable working with major TV talent, world leaders, celebrities, and in potentially volatile, breaking news environments
