JOB DESCRIPTION

Gutfeld!, t he #1 late-night program on television, is looking for a proactive Booker/Associate Producer to join the team. As the Booker/Associate Producer, you are familiar with programming across all major networks and knowledgeable about pop culture, politics, and social trends. You will research, pitch, and book guests for the show and maintain a diverse list of people in politics, media, entertainment, and publishing. You will also interact with the daily live audience. Familiarity with the current show is critical. As the Booker/Associate Producer, you are a team player who can hit the ground running while working with a diverse editorial staff and technical team.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strategize with the team on best booking approaches
• Pitch guest segments and story ideas for both day of and future story ideas
• Conduct research and pitch ideas for guests, segments, and stories
• Maintain and update a guest database and contact list
• Have access to unique and news-making contacts via a strong Rolodex
• Assist in bulking up future bookings
• Assist audience coordinator with daily live audience as needed
• Effectively communicate to host and control room staff during live shows/segments
• Find great clips that work well with Greg's monologue
• Manage rights and clearances
• Assist with field shoots
• Work with editors to cut VO, SOTs, and great montages for air
• Assist editors to turn the raw footage into a completed, polished program

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of booking on a show produced at a local station or network
• 1 year of experience working in the field
• Excellent writing skills and editorial judgment are a must
• Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking to have the competitive edge
• Ability to deal with daily script deadline pressure
• Good editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills
• Be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize, and react quickly and decisively under deadline pressure
• Ability to think creatively and develop new and interesting approaches to storytelling
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends
• Experience interacting with high-profile talent
• Experience booking in the Field
• Ability to react to breaking news with instant programming ideas
• Non-linear editing skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $59,500.00-70,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
