JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a great opportunity for an Associate Producer for the Media Production Group. In this role, the Associate Producer will not only work closely with the editorial branch of the department, but also with the department as a whole, by streamlining and vetting all orders prior to working with the Directors of the department to oversee, disseminate and process graphic requests.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Using photo banks to search for and select supporting elements for graphics requests
• Monitoring and handling large volumes of incoming orders and assisting the team in processing them and ensuring completion in a timely manner
• Monitoring quality control standards for legibility, editorial accuracy, and grammar/punctuation
• Being available to troubleshoot Production Assistant, Graphic Artist questions and resolve conflicts – requires a full understanding of the Production Assistant role and being able to assume those duties as needed
• Must work closely with show and control room staff to schedule and run studio looksees and rehearsals
• Understanding digital graphic file formats, file conversion, and file transfer (FTP)
• Basic desktop editing
• Attending daily interdepartmental meetings to proactively discuss and plan for future events
• Ability to work well with others and help to train co-workers and new employees
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Live television newsroom experience
• Solid understanding of both the technical aspects of digital media and the editorial judgment of a newsroom environment; All candidates must have a general understanding of national/international news
• A constant sense of urgency is absolutely required in order to make editorial and logistical decisions in a fast-paced news environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are a must as this position requires working across multiple networks and departments
• Must be open and willing to work all shifts- working in a newsroom requires flexibility for occasion extra or weekend coverage

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $59,500.00-73,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
