JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for an Accountant to be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting, including analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for Fox News Media. This Accountant position is a great opportunity for a highly organized, detailed, and enthusiastic Accountant to join our team
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with the month-end close process
• Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations as assigned and investigate/correct items as needed
• Preparation of month end financial analysis
• Record fixed asset purchases, disposals, and depreciation and assist with the month end fixed asset close process
• Meet internal and corporate deadlines
• Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Internal Controls testing is a plus
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Familiarity with the media industry
• Experience with Workday and Blackline

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-74,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
