JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Entertainment is looking for a Director, Music Programming to join our growing team. As the Director, Music Programming, you will oversee various functions within the Music Programming department.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as an in-house studio music point overseeing all original music initiatives in conjunction with Fox Entertainment productions
• Facilitate with finance, legal, and production points to oversee all contracting and music budgetary support
• Working in tandem with labor relations to stay up to date on union rules and guide production accordingly, track re-use payments, etc.
• Manage conversations with production teams to identify needs and support required in the pre-production phase
• Oversee original music budget as it pertains to the Fox Entertainment Music library and specific show budgets
• Research, vet and prescreen talent for original music initiatives prior to engagement
• Supervise all day-to-day music initiatives in tandem with the entire Fox Entertainment + subsidiaries slate including brokering blanket agreements, engaging composers, etc.
• Quarterback facilitating production music hires from negotiating initial terms to fully executing agreements
• Work in tandem with Associate Manager, Music to direct musicologist review and oversee all creative feedback, revisions, and approvals
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the music world including record labels, publishers, managers, music houses, etc.
• Actively pitch and market Fox Entertainment Music catalog to both internal and external productions
• Oversee commercial release calendar for Fox Entertainment Music, strategize and coordinate all marketing initiatives surrounding releases
• Produce and manage music content for Fox YouTube Music Channel, Tubi, and Fox social media platforms
• Collaborate with sales and strategic marketing teams for music associated with branded/sponsored content

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5-7 years of experience
• Knowledge of music licensing/supervision, television production/marketing, music theory, and the recording process
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in an environment with tight turnarounds and deadlines
• Strong communication and research skills
• Be a rockstar team player well-versed in project management as it pertains to music
