JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Entertainment is looking for an Assistant to join our Drama Programming & Development department to provide administrative support to our Senior Vice President. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to learn how a programming & development team functions at a major network studio.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer busy phones and maintain phone logs
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
• Office administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, faxing and photocopying
• File the retrieving department memos, reports and correspondence
• Process expense reports
• Prepare scripts and notes prior to meetings
• Track all submissions and pitches
• Distribute scripts and production materials
• Maintain the tape library
• Maintain and order department supplies
• Other duties, as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum of 2-3 years administrative assistant experience
• Knowledge of Word, Outlook, Explorer and FileMaker Pro
• Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment and use discretion in dealing with department and script issue
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to independently prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines
• A professional phone manner and good interpersonal skills
• Good typing skills and the ability to take dictation or fast notes
• Good attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational and project coordination skills
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Previous entertainment industry experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
