Job Description
FOX8 WGHP is looking for someone who can bring energy, organization, and a sense of urgency to fill our open Weekend Assignment Desk position. You will help coordinate news coverage, react to breaking news, research and pitch story ideas for weekends and 3 days a week. The right candidate should have excellent editorial judgement and have a keen sense of logistics.

Skills & requirements:
• Good communicator
• Available to take on-call assignments
• Listen to the scanner and respond to breaking news
• Develop and maintain contacts
• Assign crews and track them throughout the day
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, or related field preferred
