Job Summary/Description:
KVVU FOX5 is looking for an experienced Director of Sales/General Sales Manager to lead our successful sales department. The ideal candidate should be results-driven with a history of achieving sustained revenue growth on broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong business-focused mindset, great time management, and organizational skills that lead to good business decisions and problems.
Duties/Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for sales and creating a high-performance and successful sales team
- Develop an understanding of the Las Vegas market to create dynamic broadcast and digital sales initiatives
- Manage and price inventory, forecast revenue, and create sales reports as requested by General Manager
- Develop and achieve budgets and provide accurate and timely forecasts
- Must have strong communication skills with good follow-through and work ethic
- Build internal relationships with staff and develop external relationships with clients and ad agencies
- Accompany team on face-to-face sales calls weekly
- Coach and develop our current staff of Account Executives and Sales Managers, and recruit new sales talent for this growing department
- Work confidently with our audience measurement tools to provide valuable information to clients
- Work across multiple departments to meet the goals of the company and clients
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a proven track record of leading digital and broadcast sales growth
- Organized with acute attention to detail and follow-through is a must
- Ability to present, negotiate, close, and most importantly build long-term business relationships
- Strong computer skills, with experience with Wide Orbit, Matrix, Share-Builders, and Microsoft Office products preferred
- College Degree preferred
- Must meet the Gray Television driving requirements and have a valid driver's license
