WBFF FOX45 and EBFF My TV Baltimore is seeking a fun, dynamic and energetic on-camera talent/writer to co-host our BMORE Lifestyle television show and perform the duties of news story/content writer. This unique hybrid position will serve two departments in different capacities. 

You will write news stories in the early morning for the number 1 rated news program in Baltimore, FOX45 Morning News. The second part of your day will focus on hosting and assisting BMORE Lifestyle which airs daily on FOX45's sister station, MY TV Baltimore. The ideal candidate should have a strong on-camera presence and personality, excellent writing skills and a genuine curiosity of the world around you. In particular, you should have a knowledge of women's lifestyle and social interests including fashion and designer trends, pop culture, community, professional/business work life topics, family issues, health and fitness, foodies, local and national entertainment, social media etc. An established social media following and long list of contacts in these areas is a plus. This is not a position for beginners. The ideal candidate must have broadcast writing experience and be comfortable and confident in LIVE and recorded studio or location situations. You must be an excellent interviewer and be able to ad lib as needed. Knowledge of entertainment and news or entertainment program production including, pre- and post-production as well as field production is a plus. The ability to work well with clients, guests, production staff and management is vital. Writing samples and hosting demo link with on-camera samples is REQUIRED and should be included when you apply.

Responsibilities:

On-air Host - Represent the show and television station, while keeping with brand image
• Interview guests and clients on-set, on location and via satellite

• Write, research, book guests and actively contribute in creative and planning meetings

• Work with local businesses, community organizations and agencies to coordinate and manage bookings for show appearances

• Work with sales management, internal marketing consultants, creative services and marketing director and show producer to create a mutually beneficial relationship with clients, partners and the community

• Help nurture a fun and professional working environment accepting of new ideas and able to contribute daily to the product

• Maintain the program's positive brand identity with consistent quality content on-air and online

• Represent the TV station at community, station and client events as required

• Assist in pre-production duties including research, bookings, writing segment intros, bumps, interview questions, promos etc.

• Work occasional weekends and evenings for station or client events and shoots

• Versatility and ability to fill-in for news talent if needed

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Morning News Writer – Contribute content to FOX45 Morning News by writing effective and responsible news copy and teases
• This position will work closely with the Executive Producer, newscast producers and the segment producer for the Morning News to write news stories and teases within the show, produce traffic updates and assist in greeting segment guests and helping them get set up in the studio.

• Solid news judgment, along with strong writing and communications skills, are required. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Ability to make guests feel comfortable

• Possess a fun and positive attitude, personality and demeanor on and off the air

• Ability to structure and conduct a live or recorded interviews within the allotted time

• Appealing appearance and style

• Understanding of local lifestyle trends

• Ability to read a teleprompter with proper inflection and appeal yet versatile enough to ad lib as needed

• Ability to take direction

• Ability to research stories and write responsible and strong news copy for broadcast TV

• Ability to write enticing tease and promo copy

• Personable and respectful demeanor in communicating effectively with clients

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience hosting live and/or recorded broadcast programming is a must

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record

• The ability to routinely lift, carry, and move equipment in excess of 40 lbs

• A college degree in Communications or Journalism is preferred
