Investigative Reporter

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for an intrepid investigative reporter to join its award-winning news team. The ideal candidate must be aggressive and thrive on breaking news, following leads, and exhausting all angles of investigative stories.

10 On Your Side is the leading television station for coverage of our area's most important stories. We are seeking a curious and passionate investigative reporter who will take the initiative to dig beyond the news of the day to provide our viewers with thorough and in-depth reporting on the stories that impact them most. The successful candidate will have strong news judgment, a passion for journalism, a healthy amount of skepticism, and a desire to question authority and shine a light on information that those in power would rather keep in the dark.

The successful candidate will work with our Executive Producer of Investigations and Special Projects to develop investigative stories and special reports for television, as well as web-exclusive projects. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability and willingness to produce groundbreaking investigative content on a deadline.

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of investigative reporting is preferred
• Experience in court reporting
• Freedom of Information Act knowledge
• Data Journalism is a plus
