Denver's KDVR Fox31 and KWGN CW2 is looking for a high energy, motivated Maintenance / IT Engineer, with a thirst to learn new technologies. The successful Engineer will work closely with the entire Engineering / Technology team to efficiently maintain all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department, provide and perform Engineering and Technology support for the entire facility, and to assist with installation, configuration, and setup of other digital broadcast systems.

• Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Engineering department to implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the station.
• Assist Users with and desktop support amid a variety of applications.
• Serve Engineering, News, Production, Promotions, and Sales Departments by providing quality and highly responsive support services.
• Troubleshoot and maintain News production systems including ENPS, Bit Central, Ross Xpression, Ross OverDrive, Chyron, and Premiere Editing workstations.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Master Control Broadcast Hub operations, including Florical, Harmonic, and Cobalt technologies.
• Learn the basic operation of all systems as a User would, to help better support them.
• Plan, configure, setup, and test new systems and/or equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist VP/Technology, Dir/Engineering, and Mgr/Technology as needed with projects as needed.
• Requirements & Skills:
• A four-year Technical Degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or equivalent combination of education and work experience (5 years minimum) required.
• Previous experience in a Broadcast facility is required.
• Experience with remote desktop applications and VPN required.
• Demonstrable PC/MS Office experience required.
• Knowledge and experience with Adobe editing systems required.
• Experience in Information Technology / Desktop Computer support is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AV switching, video encoding/decoding and file transcoding a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - trust us, rarely will you have only one concurrent project or task!
• Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
• Ability to work alternate shifts as needed.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to a maximum of 70 pounds, work at heights with ladders and appropriate safety equipment. You must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle.

The pay rate for this position has a starting range of $32.69/hr. and is based on experience. Other benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Parental leave and 401K match.
