Job Description

FOX 2/KPLR NEWS 11 is seeking a Digital only Sports Reporter.

We want an employee who loves the game. Any game!

Digital Sports Reporter will cover professional hockey, baseball, soccer, and auto racing.

Digital Sports Reporter should have experience covering all high school sports.

Digital sports reporter will:
*Pitch stories to digital team for approval
*Research and schedule interviews
*Conduct and record interviews in the field- not on zooms or by phone
*Produce and edit that content for both websites
*Report with accuracy, correct grammar, punctuation and our editorial style and formats
*Revise work to meet editorial approval
*Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
*Must understand how to operate a camera and edit
*Must understand how to post stories and work on short deadlines
*Must understand Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter and be willing to daily feed stories to social media
*Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or direct paid work experience as a sports reporter
*Fluent in English
*Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
*Valid driver's license with a good driving record
*Flexibility to work any shift
