Job Description
The Account Manager is the primary liaison between the client and the agency and is responsible for all details related to the client relationship. The Account Manager handles multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and has a close eye on both the macro and micro view of accounts. The Account Manager is responsible for setting a vision for how the account should run successfully and is measured on their ability to proactively deploy the processes and tools needed to reach a successful outcome. This includes driving high levels of client satisfaction, client retention and growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages all day-to-day details of ongoing projects and ensures quality control of work from the paid media, social and SEO teams
• Serves as the internal point of contact for project details
• Effectively briefs in work to the relevant specialist teams ensuring requests are understood & key project details are tracked/stored in shared folders
• Works closely with the project teams to help ensure projects meet deadlines
• Resolves problems associated with projects to ensure client satisfaction
• Confidently chairs meetings outlining agenda, prompting discussion and recapping key actions / takeaways
• Analyses and presents data reports provided by the specialist teams and can field questions related to campaign performance (across SEO, social and paid media)
• Responsible for the delivery of quarterly business reviews with clients
• Participates in campaign planning and strategy revisions for projects across SEO, paid media and social
• Has a thorough understanding of each client business, their services/products & key marketing objectives
• Uses good judgement and client / account knowledge to improve our planned scope of work for retained accounts
• Proactively seeks opportunities to improve process on accounts; takes responsibility for success and failures of the internal team
• Ability to navigate and adapt to different work styles and work in the grey areas
• Understands how to develop successful client relationships and proactively develops the account to allow for that success
• Manages client expectations about budgets, schedules and project scope
• Cultivates positive client relationships and looks for opportunities to grow existing business; takes opportunities to visit clients in-person
• Takes ownership of new business opportunities within their managed accounts and reports internally on status
• Manages status of project and overall client happiness; proactively navigates risks and escalates items of concern to senior management
• Responsible for business intelligence reporting for managed accounts, understanding client budget vs time spent
• Follows client onboarding processes regarding kick-offs, briefings, file management & knowledge transfer between sales & implementation teams
• Oversees financial administration of accounts including invoicing and jobs in Netsuite, Kantata and other finance platforms
• Delegates work to Senior Account Executives and Account Executives

Experience & Education
• Bachelor's degree
• At least three-plus years of agency experience in account/project management or similar

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• G Suite (sheets, docs, slides, datastudio), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Acrobat experience a plus
• An in-depth understanding of social media, digital advertising, and Search Engine Optimisation is key to success in this position
• An in-depth understanding of key performance metrics used in each area, how they are connected and general performance benchmarks (eg CTR, Domain Rating etc)
• An in-depth understanding of timelines and budgets
• Solid understanding of the stages involved in onboarding new clients
• Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong project communication, management, and organisational skills
• Must be a solutions-oriented problem solver and strategic thinker
• Must be a team player
• Must thrive on managing multiple projects
