Surfacing Lookdev Artist

Job Description

The Surfacing/Lookdev Artist creates photorealistic textures and develops the look for hard surface and organic models, environments, hero creature work and character work.

Key Responsibilities
• Create photorealistic textures, both hand-painted and from set photography to a level of detail necessary for hero CG assets
• Assemble the textures into a shading network and tweaks its lookdev to accurately match the references
• Work independently on defined tasks, but in collaboration with artists and supervisors in modeling, shading, and lighting during the look development process
Qualifications
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in visual effects for live action feature films or television
• Bachelor's degree of Digital Arts or equivalent experience
• Clear understanding of color space, shading, lighting, and rendering methodologies
• Detail oriented both creatively and technically
• Ability to learn and adapt to new workflows and methods
• Ability to complete tasks within production schedules and deadlines in an organized manner
• Open and responsive to guidance and review notes from supervisors, both creative and technical
• Experience using Mari and Maya is essential, Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox
• Experience using 3ds Max, V-Ray, Nuke, ZBrush, Mudbox
• Familiarity with digital photography
하드 서피스, 유기적인 표면을 가진 생명체,주요 캐릭터 등에 사실적인 질감을 입히고 전체적인 외형을 개발하는 역할을 맡습니다.
담당업무
• 손으로 직접 그린 이미지와 촬영된 이미지를 활용하여 사실적인 텍스처를 핵심 CG요소에 필요한 세밀한 수준으로 제작, 구현합니다.
• 텍스처를 쉐이딩 네트워크에 조합하고 참고 자료와 일치하도록 룩데브 작업을 진행합니다.
• 룩 개발 과정에서 모델링, 쉐이딩, 조명 아티스트 및 슈퍼바이저와 협력하여, 주어진 작업을 독립적으로 수행합니다.
자격요건
• 실사 영화나 TV Visual effects 분야에서 최소 2년 이상의 경력
• 디지털 아트 또는 그에 상응하는 학사 학위
• 색 공간, 쉐이딩, 라이팅 , 렌더링에 대한 명확한 이해도
• 창의적이고 기술적인 면에서 세부사항을 꼼꼼히 처리하는 능력
• 새로운 워크플로우와 새로운 방식들을 배우고 적응하는 능력
• 제작 일정과 마감기한을 준수하여 체계적으로 작업을 완료할 수 있는 능력
• 기술적 및 창의적인 부분의 피드백을 포함한 슈퍼바이저의 지침과 검토 의견에 대해 개방적인 마인드로 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 능력
• Mari와 Maya 사용 경험 필수, Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox 사용경험

• 디지털 사진에 대한 높은 이해도
