Job Description
ESPN is seeking a Sr. Director, Social and Digital Content Business Operations to play a key role in developing and executing our approach to various nuanced platforms in alignment with driving business and partnership goals. Ideal candidates must have a strong understanding of both social and digital content business strategies, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to spearhead initiatives that benefit ESPN's audience expansion and digital revenue targets. This key leadership role will report to the Senior Vice President of Digital, Social, and Streaming Content, and will work closely across our Digital Experience and Engagement teams to optimize ESPN's on and off platform performance.

Responsibilities:
• Spearhead a Monthly Business Review process for social and digital platforms, facilitating deeper examination of audience metrics, inventory trends, and ad sales revenue pacing to identify challenges, present opportunities, and establish action items.
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders (Platform Distribution, Content Business Operations, Digital Forecasting, Revenue Analytics, Corporate Strategy, Sports Brand Solutions, ESPN Business Development, ESPN Programming, and Disney Ad Partnerships) to achieve social and digital business success.
• Conduct bi-weekly check-ins and read-outs on digital revenue and capacity pacing to ensure we're on track to meet our fiscal goals.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external social partners (e.g. YouTube, Snapchat, Meta, TikTok, X), leading partnership meetings to align and maximize the potential of our collaborations.
• Monitor off platform product changes and developments to analyze and communicate their impact to ESPN's digital audience and business goals.
• Partner with the Digital Audience Engagement leadership team on improved communication and prioritization workstreams between Product & Content.
• Identify and collaborate with Corp Strategy, Business Development and related Content teams on third-party partnerships that enhance the digital and social experience for our audience, create internal process efficiencies for the Digital Experience & Engagement team, generate incremental digital and social business opportunities, or elevate digital and social content innovation and creativity.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years in digital management consulting, business strategy, or related fields (or 8 years with an advanced degree).
• Minimum of 8 years collaborating with executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives in high-paced, results-driven environments.
• Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles overseeing large teams or departments with creative problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of digital advertising models, social media monetization, and digital subscriptions.
• Proven ability to lead projects and provide strategic insights to drive revenue-producing results.
• Confident presenter able to positively influence senior executives within the company and with clients.
• Willingness to try new things and address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills for developing and implementing strategies to monitor, analyze, and interpret social and digital data.
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in media, technology, or digital sectors is preferred.

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business development, digital or social strategy, or related field required.
