You will be joining a group of creative and nimble colleagues whose roles and responsibilities are constantly evolving. The Social Operations Specialist II will report to and support the Sr. Operations Manager, helping ensure the team is positioned to s/ucceed. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys team operations, is strategically minded, and is always looking for ways to collaborate and improve how tasks are executed.
Responsibilities:
• Effectively problem solve critical issues to avoid operational gaps and ensure team productivity.
• Work alongside production coordinator to assist with timely publishing of team schedules and handling last-minute changes due to the sports calendar.
• Support hiring, onboarding and offboarding for all social team employees: help facilitate recruiting efforts, facilitate equipment ordering, provide access to tools and various programs.
• Assist with internal social team communications: meeting agendas and recaps, company events,
• project timelines, etc.
• Help run projects that operate on several months-long timelines, ranging from ESPN's influencer program (ESPN Creator Network) to large-scale departmental team meetings, ensuring seamless execution on all deliverables and deadlines.
• Help manage access and security by leading maintenance and auditing of all social platforms, verifying that all profiles and settings are set up in line with protocols.
• Support the management of various agencies, vendor, and platform relationships (Meta, TikTok, X) that the social team maintains to do its work.
• Keep a strong knowledge of social industry trends and stay up to date on tech advancements relevant to the business.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in social media, digital media, project management, operations, or a related field.
• Strong work ethic with the desire to work both on a team and independently.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and project management skills, highly organized and proactive.
• Ability to work quickly and juggle multiple tasks during a typical workday.
• Sound knowledge of the sports landscape, including current athletes, rules, events, and ESPN Programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Adept in social platform management tools: Meta Business Manager, Sprinklr, X Ad Accounts, Trello, etc.
• Experience fulfilling tight deadlines and developing meeting decks.
• Passion for and knowledge of sports and entertainment.
• Educated in understanding how to prioritize tasks according to business needs.
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Education:
• College degree in a media related field.
Additional Information:
• Must be able to work non-traditional hours (holidays, nights, weekends, etc.). This role is also 4 days in office and 1 day work from home (WFH).

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $76,300 to $104,800 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
