Job Description
ESPN Social is a group of creative and nimble teammates whose roles and responsibilities are constantly evolving. The Social Manager will have their hand in nearly every facet of the team and will be essential to ensuring the team is positioned to succeed. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys project management, is strategically-minded and someone who is always looking for ways to improve how teams execute every task.

Responsibilities:
• Drives short term and long term results by coordinating, designing and leading projects across business lines and teams
• Leads onboarding & offboarding for employees and develops processes to effectively train and retain new staff
• Crafts internal & external social team communications to provide insights to the business, analytics, and important events.
• Manages upkeep of team social accounts in all their facets: auditing to ensure that profiles, settings and accounts followed stay current, working with partners to secure and verify new accounts, ensuring access and security is sustained.
• Forecasts, plans, and selects future accounts to collaborate with various external and internal partners
• Develops and manages the social team's programs for candidates interested in a career in social media including managing partnerships with the NEXT program, the internship program and ESPN's various learning and development programs and general job shadowing
• Effectively problem solves critical issues to avoid operational gaps and ensure team productivity
• Works with production coordinator to manage timely publishing of team schedules, assess staffing needs and finds solutions.
• Manages relationships with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Snapchat on new initiatives and products.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing, social media or a related field
• Experience working with multiple social media platforms
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Effective communicator and partner to all relevant stakeholders in the business
• Advanced knowledge of current sports, including teams, players, storylines, and forward-facing media personnel
• Skilled in social media comprehension and execution across TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading a team through coordinated events, meetings and tight deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Sports minded and has a passion for the industry as a whole
• Proven track record of launching successful social media engagement campaigns
• Experience leading and developing team members
• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating KPI's and results upward and downward in an organization
• Knowledge of industry trends and stays up to date on the latest technological advancements relevant to the business
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
