Job Description
The Event Marketing Manager will manage a portfolio of events for the ESPN Event Marketing team. The Event Marketing team brings ESPN to life by connecting clients, partners and consumers to the ESPN brand in uniquely powerful, immersive ways that leave lasting impressions, promote brand loyalty and benefit the bottom line. This highly visible role will manage the production of events from concept through completion. The position requires setting a strategic vision, as well as tactical execution for events, hospitality programs and meetings. The Event Marketing Manager will report to a Director on the Event Marketing team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of event execution for various ESPN brands from initial conception to execution. Support both of internal and external hospitality events and programs
• Project manage various events and programs simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are maintained
• Liaise with essential stakeholders across ESPN and The Walt Disney Company to successfully produce and implement companywide initiatives into events
• Collaborate with internal Marketing teams to create on brand executions on behalf of the ESPN brand across every consumer touchpoint at events
• Own and understand event budgets and manage tracking documents through SAP
• Work with Disney Procurement on bidding process for all vendors and serve as point of contact with ESPN Legal Department in processing various event contracts
• Manage relationships with third party vendors and productions companies. Work with external vendors (creative/design/production agencies) as necessary to develop materials that align with corporate initiatives
• Contribute to the development and communication of pre and post communication material related to events
• Oversee follow-up communications with attendees and creates re-cap reports to showcase results
• Research, source, and negotiate appropriate venues to meet event objectives
• Manage team of coordinators in their communication to event liaisons, and manage large teams of people onsite for event buildouts and installations
• Establish best practices and creates improvements surrounding event technology, rooming lists, guest lists and transportation manifests
• Assist with executive travel and act as primary liaison for speakers and keynotes for travel and logistics
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Sports, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of space planning
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Position requires extensive travel, untraditional hours and working beyond a 40 hours work week

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency with CAD a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
