The Andscape Manager, Digital Video Content will oversee the strategy, production attributes, distribution and alignment of short-form, original content across our digital platforms.

The Manager Digital Video Content will manage a team through the ideation and execution of digital videos. This role will be key in collaborating and guiding production, tracking process and overseeing quality. This person will work directly with the Senior Social Media manager on identifying social video opportunities and producing content for social platforms and YouTube. The Manager must have, or develop an awareness of the operations across ESPN, as well as an assortment of content types (video, audio, photo, text) and editorial priorities.

This position is based in DC but may be open to alternate locations: CA, CT, NY.

Responsibilities:
• Identify cross-over areas between digital, social and linear where content elements can be integrated and leveraged.
• Manage producers through workflow, budget and overall production of digital video.
• Have an understanding of how to best create and distribute digital videos on YouTube.
• Work closely with the Social Media Manager on the distribution and execution of video for social feeds.
• Oversee and manage prioritization of graphic images and creative.
• Identify opportunities for digital video to support editorial needs.
• Create and manage all assignments and workflow through in-house project management tool.
• Monitor initiatives and KPIs on distribution outlets; work with director of video, social content to measure business impact and opportunity.
• Partner with internal ESPN teams for production and alignment and programming opportunities.
• Observe league rights and guidelines.
• Monitor site analytics and ad performance for KPI and portfolio optimization.

Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital media, digitally-focused, editorially-driven environment.
• Working knowledge of social platforms, audience and performance measurements.
• An understanding of how sports fans consume content on mobile devices.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing demands for resources.
• Strong and effective strategy execution skills, including: deep understanding of the internet, new media and interactive platforms and the associated business models.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally at all organizational levels, including exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
• Strong understanding of Black cultural moments and current events.
• Must excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Business acumen and ability to read and synthesize various media consumption and marketplace reports.
• Excellent strategic and creative thinking, with particular emphasis on evaluating new opportunities and changing marketplace and media consumption dynamics.

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
