The Epic Communications team advances the company's narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a Social Media Content Manager to develop and deliver engaging content across Fortnite's social media platforms. You'll be a hands-on creative who brings bold storytelling to life through short-form video, social-native formats, and real-time content. This role is ideal for a creator and collaborator who understands platform nuance, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings a sharp eye for what resonates with digital communities. You'll work closely with Marketing, Creative, Communications, Product, and Game Development teams to ensure our social content remains timely, impactful, and culture-aware.
In this role, you will
• Create, write, and produce high-quality content for Epic's social platforms, with a focus on short-form video, memes, platform-native storytelling, and reactive content
• Lead content ideation and execution across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, and Reddit-tailored to the voice of Fortnite and its community and support the development of reactive, real-time content strategies that tap into community creativity and online conversation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including influencers and creative agencies, to bring content to life
• Contribute to the planning and scheduling of editorial calendars that support tentpole campaigns, game updates, community beats, and cultural moments
• Monitor performance and trends to refine creative direction-using analytics tools and social listening to identify opportunities for experimentation and growth while contributing to documentation, workflows, and content playbooks to support ongoing content excellence
• Understanding of AI tools and a proven ability to integrate said tools into a social strategic approach is a huge plus
• Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, visual guidelines, and accessibility standards
What we're looking for
• 3–5 years of experience in social-first content creation, digital storytelling, or community-driven media
• Strong knowledge of key social platforms and content trends-especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and memes
• Experience crafting engaging social content that performs across diverse formats (video, text, image, GIFs, audio)
• Ability to quickly develop concepts, write copy, and direct or edit video content independently or with production support
• Passion for community culture, online trends, and player-driven narratives
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams in high-speed environments
• Familiarity with social performance metrics, analytics dashboards, and trend-tracking tools
• A creative portfolio or examples of past social content are highly encouraged
• Experience using content tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar
• Experience working with influencer or creator-led campaign
