What You'll Do
As a Sr. Pipeline Developer for our new game project, you will play a crucial role in our pipeline team to help us improve efficiency, and build creative production tool sets around Unreal Engine. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting teams and developing tools & workflows across one or more disciplines. You will work within various departments and teams to ensure their workflow and pipeline requirements are met, and gain expert understanding of production needs and artist workflows.
In this role, you will
• Asset Pipeline: Work embedded within art and content teams to identify workflow improvements and develop long term and bespoke solutions to accelerate and optimize asset production
• Tool Development: Build best-in-class production workflow tooling and automations within an established development framework
• Blueprint Knowledge: Utilize your understanding of blueprint scripting to extend and improve asset pipelines, enabling smoother asset integration and addressing any technical challenges that may arise
• Problem Solving: Scope out and drive production programming initiatives, working closely with other developers and stakeholders toward scalable, maintainable solutions. Deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions that address the needs of the artist while working with production to balance development priorities and timelines
What we're looking for
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine content creation workflow tooling and automation
• Blueprint scripting experience in Unreal Engine for creating tools, extending functionality, and troubleshooting technical challenges.
• 5+ years experience as a Pipeline Developer, Technical Artist, or similar, working on production in games, feature animation, VFX, Virtual Production, or related industry
• Familiarity with third-party DCCs such as Maya, Houdini, and Substance Painter, for asset creation, modification, and optimization
• Programming experience, particularly in Python scripting, to automate tasks, enhance workflows, and build tools
• Bonus for experience in one or more of the following areas: Character Pipelines, Asset and Content Creation, C++, ShotGrid/Flow Toolkit, Media & Review systems, Deadline or other Render Farm / Process Queuing systems
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
California Base Pay Range
$182,225 — $267,307 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$162,886 — $238,869 USD
