What You'll Do

As a Senior Investigator on our Trust and Safety team at Epic, you will be responsible for understanding how our gaming environment could be exploited, investigate complex cases, advance investigative methods, and use innovative research approaches to safeguard players and creators. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter, motivated by our mission, and results-driven.

In this role, you will

• Proactively hunt for undetected suspected abuse by leveraging an array of resources
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to advance investigations, quantify trends, and support findings with clear, concise evidence
• Take a leadership role in suggesting, prototyping, and teaching novel investigative techniques and analytic methodologies
• Handle exposure to graphic and/or objectionable content

What we're looking for
• 5+ years of experience performing investigations in government, intelligence, cybersecurity, journalism, and/or private sector organizations
• Skilled at developing multi-source, evidence-based findings and communicating them to diverse audiences
• Proficient in open-source investigations to obtain publicly available information that might not be in plain sight
• Experience working on or managing projects with company-wide impact and/or multi-organization cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight
• Subject matter expertise or prior work experience with trust and safety challenges within a gaming company
• Experience conducting data analysis using SQL and Python
• Experience working under compressed timelines
• Experience working with a team spanning multiple locations/time zones
