What You'll Do
Do you enjoy working with IP holders to help bring brands to life? Do you want to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles battle alongside players against Shredder? Or make Walkers from the Walking Dead Universe shamble toward an ultimate goal? On the FNE-IP team, we have had the opportunity to do this, and so much more. In this role, we work closely with trusted IP partners to bring exciting new gameplay features and systems to UEFN and the Fortnite ecosystem that empower creators to make their own worlds and stories inside the universes of their favorite IPs. This role is a blend of Gameplay Programming and Unreal Editor programming focused on building tools and gameplay in a way that is re-usable and expandable for the future.
In this role, you will
• Develop new systems to be used in Fortnite Creative Devices, Scene Graph, Or Verse
• Help support 3rd party developers deliver amazing games and experiences in UEFN
• Contribute to long-term designs of the Fortnite Ecosystem
• Maintain and identify ways to improve existing Fortnite Ecosystem features, especially those for released and upcoming brand collaborations
What we're looking for
• Strong C++ Foundations
• Good understanding of content, code, and plugin organization within a large code base
• Experienced Gameplay Programming background
• A good understanding of how Designers, Programmers, and Artists use Editor systems to build games
This role is open to multiple locations across North America & Europe (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$172,736 — $253,347 USD
