• Provide cloud expertise to backend software developers to help create cloud-native services together
• Write infrastructure automation scripts which integrate with Unreal Engine
• Create, troubleshoot and write runbooks for infrastructure alerts
• Be given opportunities to contribute to application source code
• Keep our CI/CD systems humming along
• Participate in a light-weight on-call rotation, alongside the entire UCS cloud team

What we're looking for
• Solid skills with and experience using terraform, AWS, Linux Administration and git
• Experience designing and deploying cloud systems, you can quickly conceptualize high-level cloud infrastructure designs from given requirements and deliver with minimal oversight
• An understanding of the realities of software development and the needs of software engineers
• An expert in writing code at a level suitable for infrastructure automation purposes, ideally in bash and/or python
• Good working knowledge and recent experience using AWS architecture - EC2, IAM, S3, RDS etc
• Experience with containerisation,(with a good grasp of the fundamentals) and configuring, maintaining (and potentially extending) CI/CD systems
• Experience leveraging observability systems to help extract a signal from noise and have an opinion on best practices for monitoring, logging and tracing
