What You'll Do

Epic Games Publishing is looking for a quality-focused Release Manager to work closely with our producers, programmers, build engineers, and QA teams to oversee the build and release process for multiple cross platform titles. In this position, you will work directly with an incredible group of developers and 1st party partners to bring quality game experiences to players around the world.

In this role, you will
• Developing new practices and structures to better scale release management and stabilization processes across our published portfolio
• Owning the scheduling, coordination, quality control and external certification process across multiple platforms and/or products
• Acting as the liaison between external partners (such as Sony, MSFT, Nintendo) and the development team, coordinating and negotiating development plans, exceptions, sales/mktg/publishing content, as well as releases
• Knowing and owning the process for submitting builds to external partners inside and out, and is the expert on all things related to external build certification
• Owning publishing tools process as related to build certification and release. Coordinating internal and external release notes, known issues, and knowledge base updates.
• Working with the different teams to determine release content plans and shepherd that content through external party approvals for release, establishing and maintaining the bug triage process, determining and prioritizing must-fix issues for release and working with appropriate team members to ensure bug fixes happen as planned, to identify and resolve risks related to releases.
• Ensuring releases have passed all required checks and approvals leading up to live deployment and effectively communicating approved exceptions to all necessary parties. Developing regular status reports broadly informing stakeholders on risks and progress across submissions, sales and lifecycle needs

What we're looking for
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Willing and able to pick up any disparate tasks thrown your way - engineering, dev, prod, etc.
• Demonstrated ability in right-sized process development and improvement
• Experience with build and release processes for a Software or Games as a Service product
• Familiarity with Video Game Ratings boards (ESRB/IARC/PEGI) processes and requirements
• Experience working with database technology
• Exposure to Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft platform certification processes
• Technical orientation and a strong understanding of software development
• Knowledge of game development process and exposure to working with shipped and live titles

This role is open to multiple locations (including CA, NY, & WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

New York City Base Pay Range

$106,314 - $155,927 USD

California Base Pay Range

$93,557 - $137,216 USD

Washington Base Pay Range

$89,304 - $130,979 USD
