QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We're looking for an experienced QA Manager for our Online team! In this role, you will be a leader in developing a quality strategy. You will also guide quality for our Epic Games Store team, partner with other discipline leads, and innovate and improve our quality processes. In this role, you will
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QA individual contributors on the Epic Games Store team, continuously delivering multiple projects and initiatives that impact millions of game developers as well as players
• Develop a Quality Strategy encompassing staffing, technical requirements, product space, and involvement throughout the development lifecycle, and keep maintaining and improving the user experience of Epic's products
• Oversee the design, framework, and execution of QA automation strategies across projects to ensure the delivery of high-quality software at the product level
• Collaborate with other QA leads and managers to identify areas of risk between products and work out mitigation strategies across the whole of the Epic Games Store ecosystem
• Identify improvement and innovation opportunities in existing quality approaches and provide recommendations for new ones where they are needed and impactful
• Define and use KPIs and data to inform product quality, testing priorities, and efficiency, and outline risks on a project level
• Collaborate with department head peers on engineering and production to help provide clear accountability chains and escalation paths for multiple levels of product and initiative ownership
What we're looking for
• Proven outstanding expertise in designing, consolidating, and implementing robust and scalable test automation frameworks for large-scale, end-to-end systems such as developer portals, web storefronts, and eCommerce systems
• Proven expertise leading comprehensive QA processes, specializing in modern testing frameworks for API automation, load testing, and UI validation
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, enhancing test coverage through innovative frameworks, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in agile and DevOps environments
• Expert-level understanding of KPIs and Metrics that inform quality in products, testing, people, and processes, leveraging the data to understand and forecast risk as well as corresponding mitigation strategies
• Proficient communication skills at the individual and team level
• Passion, with the ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple initiatives
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).
