What You'll Do
Epic Games is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Cloud Automation Deployment Enablement (CADE) team. In this role, you'll lead team growth and technical execution, drive alignment on technical strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate software development through the development of a reliable and scalable infrastructure platform.
In this role, you will
• Help lead the strategy and vision for the CADE team and its products, ensuring our goals are aligned with the rest of the organization
• Design and implement self-healing, reliable and scalable infrastructure platforms in a cloud-native environment
• Build, grow, and mentor an engineering team that balances technical expertise with customer focus and a growth mindset to deliver consistently
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and feedback-driven engineering culture
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape and communicate the team's vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Drive continuous improvement in the team's processes, delivery, and impact
• Ensure high standards in system architecture, code quality, and operational excellence
What we're looking for
• A proven track record of driving technical leadership of high performing engineering teams or cultures
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams to understand technical and non-technical needs from diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of modern developer platforms and industry standards for developer tooling and practices
• In-depth experience in Golang, particularly in relation to infrastructure automation
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially Amazon Web Services
• An ability to drive a long term vision for improving cloud infrastructure and services through continual iterative improvements
This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$262,259 — $384,646 USD
