Epic Games' Fortnite team is looking for a Game Development Associate to help with our efforts to grow Fortnite on Mobile and PC, including Battle Royale, Reload, Fortnite Creative, LEGO Fortnite, and other ecosystem modes.
This role is positioned within the Game Design team within the Fortnite 1st Party Game Development organization. It leverages core skillsets in management consulting and similar industries and is a hybrid role involving product management, strategy, and analytics to drive ''in-the-weeds'' day-to-day game development.
In this role, you will
• Drive end-to-end success for Fortnite's mobile & PC presence
• Work directly with our Director of Game Development on all things Mobile & PC growth, from long-term planning to short-term execution
• Day-to-day focus on shipping game development features
• Work daily with the Fortnite Mobile team and other key teams, especially in Core Technology and Unreal Engine
• Create PRDs, work on development roadmaps, create executive materials and analysis, conduct market research (comparables) and product analysis
• Interface with leadership in game design, UX design, and product owners on defining requirements for their games, modes, and products on Mobile and PC
• Attend playtests and play the live game on devices to provide feedback and identify practical solutions to problems
What we're looking for
• 2-5 years of experience in strategy, bizops, product management, management consulting, investment banking, similar industries, or game development (product design, executive production)
• Proactivity and the ability to prepare highly polished executive materials
• Extremely analytical – return on investment (ROI), Excel modeling skills, and familiarity with numbers are a plus
• Data-minded – eager and comfortable monitoring data streams and working daily with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product Managers to align on product goals
• Strong stakeholder management across teams; clear communicator and presenter
• Interest in game development and technology, and the courage to learn new concepts
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including NYC).
