What You'll Do
Epic Games is searching for an experienced Brand Strategy Director to define and evolve how Fortnite and our broader ecosystem show up in the world. You'll lead the creation of brand positioning, platforms, and narratives that inspire global audiences, working closely with agencies and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into execution. From assessing brand perception to activating campaigns and measuring performance, you'll drive a multi‑year strategy that connects millions of players to our growing universe of products and experiences.
In this role, you will
• Drive brand strategy initiatives, including brand positioning, platform development, and market differentiation, to support Epic's long-term brand vision
• Translate consumer insights into actionable strategies and marketing campaigns that strengthen brand perception and engagement
• Partner with internal cross-functional partners in product, marketing, and insights to align brand vision with our player needs
• Develop and manage a multi-year brand strategy that anticipates market trends and sustains our brand's leadership and relevance
• Work closely with external agencies to develop and execute a compelling and coherent brand narrative
• Evaluate and optimize brand performance through measurement and analytics to drive growth
• Serve as a strategic leader and connector across functions, bringing teams together towards a shared brand vision and executing complex brand initiatives
What we're looking for
• Proven brand strategist with 8+ years of experience in brand strategy and management, ideally with globally recognized consumer brands in gaming, entertainment, or technology
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale brand initiatives from concept to execution
• Expertise in building and executing brand platform, positioning, and value proposition that resonates with a global/diverse audience
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex, creative, and brand concepts to senior leadership
• Strategic and innovative thinking, translating brand strategy into compelling creative execution/campaign that builds brand equity and drives engagement
• Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams - ability to unify everyone around a common creative goal
• A deep understanding of brand-building principles and the ability to leverage cultural insights to create resonant campaigns
