What You'll Do
We are looking for a finance professional to join our growing International Finance team as a General Ledger Accountant with a focus on intercompany accounting. You will work alongside existing team members to deliver high-quality financial reporting and support ad hoc finance-related projects. The role will take responsibility for intercompany processes to ensure efficient and accurate consolidation reporting. This role will be based in London.
In this role, you will
• Play a lead role in managing intercompany processes for the International Finance team
• Prepare and record intercompany transactions across group entities
• Raise intercompany invoices as required to meet local statutory requirements
• Analyse cash flow requirements and work with treasury to process intercompany settlement runs
• Reconcile and investigate variances in intercompany balances working closely with the US and International Finance Teams
• Establish an intercompany controls framework to ensure transactions are prepared and reported accurately
• Drive process improvements in intercompany postings and reconciliations, with a focus on automation where feasible
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements supplementary notes for UK subsidiaries
• Provide commentary on quarterly flux analysis on material intercompany movements on both Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts
• Reconcile intercompany balances between US GAAP, statutory reporting and IFRS
• Assist with external audit requests for intercompany balances including annual counterparty confirmations
• Support transfer pricing arrangements, intercompany royalty and licensing agreements and intercompany loan agreements
What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or related field
• Chartered accounting qualification or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• 1-5 years of relevant financial accounting work experience
• Strong knowledge of intercompany processes and consolidation accounting.
• Experience within an international matrixed organisation preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Experience of foreign currency transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
