Team Assistant, Scripted TV

Job Description

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Creative Director of UK Scripted, the Team Assistant is a pivotal, key member of the vibrant London based scripted and production team. The Assistant will provide full administrative support, diary coordination and meeting scheduling for the Creative Director and the development team.

The Assistant will be expected to liaise with writers agents and talent agents to set up meetings, log submissions, and develop an understanding of the creative development process. They will be required to go to the theatre and have their finger on the pulse of new emerging talent. A passion for tv drama and film is essential.

Responsibilties:
• Assisting the Creative Director of Scripted Television UK with the day to day running of the business, including but not limited to diary management, liaising with broadcasters, buyers and talent management to schedule meetings, processing expenses, raising POs, and organising and updating the development slate.
• Booking travel and accommodation where necessary.
• Arranging hospitality and lunches for meetings.
• Dealing with internal and external queries and taking messages / directing queries as appropriate.
• Building and maintaining working relationships with other Assistants across the business and within the industry.
• Assisting in the day to day running of the development department, gaining an understanding of the production process as shows go from development to greenlight.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A self-starter.
• Demonstrates integrity when dealing with confidential information and material.
• Ability to analyse information and good visual presentation skills for documents.
• A keen and genuine interest in scripted television.
• Strong communication skills.
