Job Description

eOne Management is looking for an experienced Project Manager, Operations to be based in our Toronto, Ontario office. Reporting to the Director of Operations, Artist Management, the Project Manager will serve as a point person for various ad-hoc assigned projects related to any number of artists on the eOne Management roster.

This position supports the Global Music President, Director of Operations and Vice President, Artist Management by ensuring proactive communication and end to end oversight on select projects to ensure successful completion with demonstrable results.

Equally important, the Project Manager executes detailed requests in accordance with artist timelines, provides clear and consistent communication as well as facilitates the flow of information related to such projects across the management team and external business partners.

It is critical that the Project Manager is a highly organized multi-tasker who knows how to effectively prioritize a full workload, is an excellent communicator, a natural relationship-builder with strong interpersonal skills, and an effective collaborator working within teams operating in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of the music industry and the artist manager’s role within it, a familiarity with the numerous entertainment contracts that dictate the various aspects of the artist’s career (recording, publishing, performance, sponsorship, licensing) and an understanding of the intellectual property and copyrights they involve. They should also have experience in managing and completing a variety of projects within a dynamic career artist plan.

Responsibilities:

Facilitating the progress and completion of various artist and management related projects and initiatives. Including but not limited to the following examples:
• Building a merchandise program within an artists’ promotional timeline. Product ideation, development, launch and supporting approvals between artist and third partners.
• Tracking new and existing artist repertoire for the purposes of updating artist and artist business partners and developing metadata for label copy with new releases.
• Build and maintain budgets with necessary supporting documents such as artist hospitality and technical riders, calendars, immigration, marketing plan development, travel coordination and itineraries to support live performances and touring as per artist timelines.
• Monthly, Quarterly, Annual artist income tracking support.
• Digital marketing asset development and support for eOne Management.
• Work with external artist business partners to organize efforts in a productive and pragmatic manner.
• Lead and supervise the coordination of schedules/timelines for any given project with multiple business partners.
• Being the accessible “point person” for assigned projects day-to-day concerns, utilizing excellent judgement in troubleshooting through issues or advancing as appropriate.

Key Competencies:
• Previous music industry experience, specifically and preferably in artist management
• Arts and/or Business education, College or University level preferred
• Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Exhibits passion, knowledge, and know-how to work across a diverse mix of artist activities
• A love and knowledge of music in general and specifically, knowledge of key artists on the management roster
• Understanding of eOne Music’s unique position in the artist management space, and its other divisions (label, publishing, sync etc)
• An ability to develop and maintain relationships with day to day artist managers and understand their unique needs for each artist.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong ability to balance multiple priorities.
• A driven self-starter, with a pro-active approach.
• Familiarity with workflow tools such as Slack, Teams.
