Detroit WWJ Reporter/Anchor (10/20)

WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit is searching for a full time reporter/anchor. This person must sound energetic and have a fantastic on-air delivery, both when anchoring and reporting. Must be able to find and report on stories every day and be able to work weekends and holidays. Should have knowledge of the Detroit area. A minimum of three years experience as a reporter and anchor is preferred. Social media presence is a must
- Street reporter for Detroit's award winning news station
- Anchoring on the weekend and fill-in during the week as needed
- Find, research stories, cover news conferences, talk with news makers
- write and record stories as well as the the ability to do live reports
- Have the ability to ad-lib when covering breaking news stories
- Be active on social media and must post stories to those platforms
- Write stories on an as needed basis for the newsroom

Qualifications:

Required: A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and proof of insurance

Preferred: Three years experience as an anchor and reporter
