Entercom Communications Corp. is looking for an experienced media sales professional to join our National Integrated Sales Team. The ideal candidate is strategic and solution oriented, with proven experience in developing effective integrated marketing solutions that incorporate audio, digital and experiential assets.
This role requires experience working with C-suite level executives and other key decision-makers within top US brands, along with their agency partners on the strategy and planning level.
This is a high-velocity sales role requiring solid industry expertise, relationships and a proven ability for closing deals. The goal is to develop new dollars for Entercom and/or generate significant lift on existing business through integrated marketing solutions.
Candidates must have a positive attitude and a drive to win. Self-motivation is essential. The successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain a regional territory and vertical account list
• Pitch new business – client direct and their media buying and planning agencies
• Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
• Engage and strategize with senior level executives on the client side to demonstrate how Entercom can help meet their objectives
• Prepare proposals that are on-strategy with the brands objectives, utilizing the appropriate Entercom assets for an integrated, cross platform campaign
• Participate in and represent Entercom at local industry events
• Work with Marketing and Advertising Operations to ensure the client's needs are met
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients by providing top quality service. Communicate with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders and arranging promotional events.
• Stay current with online advertising trends and innovations
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years' media and national rep account sales experience
• Previous experience in both radio and digital sales
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and organizational skills
• Strong Presentation Skills
• Proven track record in business development
• Solid Senior Level decision maker relationships with National Brands (C-Suite a plus)
• Highly skilled negotiator
• Solid agency relationships at the media planning, brand, strategy level
• Travel required; 25-40%
• A valid driver's license, insurance and a satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check is required.
