Staff Accountant

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct monthly/quarterly close process, accruals, journal entries and inter-company journal entries
• Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly B/S and P/L variance analysis and related supporting schedule
• Prepare reconciliations for intercompany and related-party transactions
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as Cash, A/R, A/P, Prepaid, Fixed Assets, Deferred Revenue
• Review new customer agreements to determine billable items and proper revenue recognition
• Prepare invoices for all fixed and variable fees
• Download statements from various processors
• Record cash collections form various processors
• Apply customer checks and wires
• Record merchant cash deposits
• Prepare specialized month-end reports
• Prepare processor and customer settlement reconciliations
• Prepare VAT and sales tax filling
• Assist with any additional ad hoc requests

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2+ experience
• Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational ability
• Effective corporate communications skills
• Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
