QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 8+ years in senior backend engineer, full stack engineer or software architect
• Proven track record in designing or architecting high-scale enterprise online digital products
• Proven record of integrating existing legacy platforms as well as creating new engineering solutions
• Expert knowledge of different software architecture methodologies and patterns and software algorithms
• Demonstrated experience with JS, TypeScript, Node.js, Redux, GraphQL, RDS and Non RDS databases, microservices
• Founder mindset and demonstrated experience taking new commercial products from zero to one
• Focus on driving results, maximizing learning

The Software Architect will be responsible for architecting and planning engineering solutions for the underlying On Location digital products.

Who You Are:
• BA/BS in computer science or a similar field
• You have 5+ years designing and architecting large-scale online platforms end-to-end
• Experience implementing backend systems of large-scale platforms
• You have experience working in fast-paced growing teams in agile environment
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with cloud-based computing/infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Asana, etc).

What you'll do
• Define and implement the component technical solutions and services
• Continuously track and propose improvements to the existing engineering solutions at On Location
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement On Location digital products
• Implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security
• Implement software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables
• Write high-quality software
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
