Job Description

The Senior Director, Event Production will be responsible for managing one of the agencies largest touring productions. The Sr. Director, Production will be a capable manager with team and events know-how, sound financial practices, project planning, team building skills, and mentoring abilities.

The ideal candidate must have extensive event marketing experience, internal team management experience, client service communication, be well organized, a self-starter, able to work with a variety of people with varying work styles, have the ability to prioritize workload, and have a drive to continue working until the job is done.

Job Responsibilities:
• Lead a large team of event production individuals to deliver the best product for the client and the work group
• Display a strategic ability to conceive, develop and implement programs that build client brand and provide a foundation to drive client business growth
• Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, motivation, and performance management
• Manage, coach & develop internal and external staff on execution and delivery of programs
• Budget and track multi-million dollar projects to ensure financial responsibility and profitability of programs
• Foster and develop key vendor/partners related to our business so we are delivering the best product and pricing for our clients
• Lead large scale live events and touring assets with multiple agency, vendor, and client involvement
• Work cross-functionally with creative and client teams within the organization
• Apply best practices and learnings from previous projects to elevate performance level
• Create accountability practices within company

Education & Skills:
• Minimum 12 years of experience in event marketing and team management. Agency experience a plus
• Production of live events, tours, and fabrication of event elements a must
• Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or equivalent experience in related-field
• Motivational leadership, inspiring team to deliver top performance against assigned business
• Excellent interpersonal skills – will contribute culturally to the agency
• Capacity to develop and sustain strong working relationships with multiple national and local vendors
• Ability to adapt easily and find innovative solutions for client needs
• Strong management skills; prior internal staff management
• Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively manage numerous programs and resources simultaneously- Microsoft Project or similar planning tool experience preferred
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills based in agency, client and industry knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• A thoroughly developed knowledge of our industry, products and services, as well as those of our competitors and clients
• Willing and able to work nonstandard work hours, weekends and travel as required
• Must have professional appearance and persona with a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Willing to travel up to 50%
