Position Summary/Objective:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is energetic and an intuitive marketing, media and sales strategist with exceptional leadership, management and communication skills. He or She will be experienced in strategic marketing budgeting, planning, branding, and business development, as well as be adept in digital and traditional marketing. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of ticketing and preferably have experience in Sports or Live Event Marketing.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing, Live Events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic oversight and leadership to increase profitability for assigned markets as well as meeting / exceeding budget expectations
• Develop, present, and execute comprehensive and clearly defined revenue-based business plans that accelerate and achieve aggressive, profitable revenue goals
• Evaluation of all aspects of live event revenue and ROMI including but not limited to: research, marketing, advertising, promotion and earned media, ticket scaling, sponsorship and sales, non-traditional revenue and third party partners
• Develop, present, and execute a comprehensive marketing, media and promotional plan that utilizes, leverages, and maximizes the following: research, media planning and buying, third-party partnerships, sponsors, community promotions and PBR internal assets such as social, digital, live event, editorial and TV through CBS and Pluto TV
• Responsible for all aspects of projects, including: meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking / monitoring procedures
• Research, review, identify and establish new and existing contacts and opportunities to drive incremental revenue
• Develop strong relationships with new and potential partners to maximize marketability, activation, and usage of PBR intellectual rights
• Lead and work cross divisionally with internal teams (including Sales, Marketing, Creative, Digital Media, Public Relations, TV, and Finance/Accounting) to ensure all pre and post-event information and promotions are communicated to our targeted audience well in advance, ultimately driving increased profitability for assigned events
• Develop integrated PR campaigns with the PR Department to heighten awareness around marquee events
• Work with Finance/Accounting to manage event budgets, and drive cost efficiencies
• Forecast revenue projections, perform risk analysis, and manage investments
• Maintain key metrics and provide weekly, monthly reports to the Senior Director of Marketing, Live Events
• Responsible for the full execution of 6-10 PBR Live Events from start to finish across the PBR Unleash the Beast and/or the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tours including marketing, advertising, promotion and earned media, research, ticket scaling, sponsorship and sales, non-traditional revenue and third-party partners
• Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Developing and executing strategic marketing plans and campaigns
• Development of growth strategies as well as short and long-term strategic marketing plans
• Experience purchasing and negotiating television, radio, OOH and digital advertising buys
• Budget development, management and forecasting skills
• Demonstrated successful experience in making written and oral presentations
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills with a strong knowledge of event management including event planning, execution and marketing
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying priorities and deliver results on time and under budget
• A team player with the ability to achieve success in a changing environment
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suites (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook)
• Previous sports and event marketing and sales experience - preferred
• Ticketing experience or venue box management experience – preferred

Education & Formal Training:
• B.A./B.S. Marketing, Business, Economics, Journalism, Public Relations

Experience:
• 5 or more years of experience in Sports or Live Event Marketing

Working Conditions:
• Normal office hours Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend work
• Travel to events and meetings up to 40% of the time
