FC Diez Media

FC Diez Media is a commercial vehicle created to drive commercial growth and deliver innovative development strategies for CONMEBOL and its club competitions.

This new venture holds responsibility for all global media rights sales and commercial consultancy across CONMEBOL Libertadores, Sudamericana and Recopa competitions; ranging from game presentation and competition formats to brand development and digital promotion. We were established at the start of 2018 and our goal is to elevate the CONMEBOL club competition products to world class standards and transform the digital experience for a global South American football audience.

FC Diez Media maintains offices in Asuncion, Paraguay, Sao Paulo, Brazil and in Buenos Aires Argentina. The headquarters and main operational office of FC Diez Media sits in Asuncion and also acts as the main liaison between FC Diez Media and CONMEBOL. The office in Sao Paulo has a Marketing and Sponsorship delivery focus and the office in Buenos Aires is heavily involved in the success of the Broadcasting and Digital environments of CONMEBOL Club Competitions.

Who We Are Looking For

In this position, you will manage the FC Diez Media digital marketing team to drive CONMEBOL audience growth and engagement. Reporting to the FC Diez Media GM, this role will be responsible for leading the development of the CONMEBOL digital marketing strategy that informs the activation of key social media channels, content development and paid digital media plans that support the brand's overarching business objectives (increased brand equity, revenue and subscriber base).

With in-depth knowledge of football, sports and media industries, as well as South American culture, the ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced environments, with the ability to think calmly and creatively under pressure and the ability to challenge traditional wisdom to find the best solution. Additionally, you will be well-connected in the sports and digital community and attuned to industry trends to ensure CONMEBOL is following social media/digital best practices.

The candidate must also have extensive experience managing and developing a team of digital marketing and content development experts.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
• Design, develop and implement an FC DIEZ MEDIA digital marketing strategy for CONMEBOL club competitions.
• Researching and analyzing performance drivers to improve future campaign profitability/growth and contributing towards yearly budgets, KPIs, sales and growth forecast.
• Empowering data-driven decision-making and leveraging analytics for effective digital strategy, product optimization, and distribution success.
• Delivery of consistent audience growth and engagement
• Team management and development
• Management of relationship with main stakeholders: CONMEBOL, key market players, influencers, clubs, partners, broadcasters, sponsors and social media platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and others)
• Management of CONMEBOL portals and social channels across editorial and content
• Management of 360 relationships with all publisher partners
• Identification of partners that can help accelerate the growth of audience and revenue
• Identification of new possible business opportunities via digital solutions
• On-going alignment with FC DIEZ MEDIA Sponsorship and Media teams to facilitate the execution and delivery of content solutions across all digital platforms.
• Collaboration with FC DIEZ MEDIA Sponsorship team in the build of tailored digital concepts and assets to be included in Sponsorship contracts.
• Meet with Sponsors together with FC DIEZ MEDIA Sponsorship team as needed
• Collaboration with all areas of FC DIEZ MEDIA and CONMEBOL across Media, Marketing, Operations and Management
• Budget management
• Development of an effective infrastructure to deliver against all KPIs
• Design and implement a content plan that drives awareness, acquisition, retention and revenue for FC DIEZ MEDIA.
• Create and produce premium content such as Live Shows, documentaries, high-profile interviews, etc., and branded content for sponsors.

You Will Have The Following Strengths
• Extensive experience of digital marketing (social, content and paid digital) experience (sports platform or property experience preferred)
• Impeccable understanding of the local sports, publishing, media and commercial landscape
• An excellent knowledge of and passion for football
• Extensive experience in social media channel management and paid digital
• Experience and proven success working in content creation and digital publishing
• Substantial network of contacts and influence within the football industry from brands to clubs / rights holders
• Experience running an editorial operation at a senior level
• Deep curiosity for what works/doesn't work in the social media space
• Experience utilizing social media measuring platforms/tools to advance goals
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, on nights, weekends or holidays, and be engaged remotely as circumstances require
• Must work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Deep knowledge in SEO strategies.
• Language Skills: English, Spanish and Portuguese required
