Position Summary/Objective:

The Financial Analyst position reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. This role is responsible for analyzing the financial position of PBR by researching and reviewing data from budgeting, planning, and monthly accounting processes. The Financial Analyst will assist with reporting, reconciliation, and financial transaction and expense analysis. This role will also involve preparing and consolidating budgets and income statement forecasts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the business' functional areas, including sales, sponsorship, marketing, and event production to gather financial data and communicate requirements.
• Research, review, and correct data from budgeting, planning, and rates processes.
• Manage and coordinate the key financial measurements (revenue, gross profit, expense, and cash), and advise on cost reduction approaches.
• Design/maintain monthly reporting package to communicate key financial measurements in real-time.
• Ensure accuracy of data entered into financial reporting systems.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of annual budget and financial forecast.
• Identify and analyze key performance drivers of business.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Establish frequent communication with business functions to drive strategy forward and achieve financial targets.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Demonstrates exceptional financial, analytical, and quantitative skillset
• Builds and maintains relationships with business partners, finance leaders, and stakeholders
• Possesses a solid understanding of organizational structure
• Communicates effectively with team members and senior leadership
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Advanced Excel skills, SAP, and Workday Adaptive Planning/financial planning system knowledge a plus

Education & Formal Training:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance – preferred

Experience:
• 1-2 or more years of related Financial Analyst experience – preferred

Working Conditions:
• Normal office hours Monday-Friday
• Extended hours as well as weekend work may be required based on the business
